Promasys^® is an integrated clinical data management and EDC system that brings quality and efficiency to your clinical data capture and data management processes. Last year we made a start with the development of the Promasys iPad app. The iPad app is designed as an alternative interface, connecting to the Promasys server and database in the same way as the WebCRF, Promasys' EDC system. Access rights will be managed in the back-end based on the user's login credentials. And all the data entry controls and checks will work the same way as in the other interface. Making use of unique iPad features, navigation will be very intuitive. The app will take the user immediately to a focused environment, based on the tasks and roles that are associated with the user's account at login. The first version will be focused on data entry tasks as well as subject management and planning.

Functional and technical requirements have been defined and all the screens have been built. Symbiont, a design consultancy agency affiliated with Delft University of Technology, has conducted a user experience evaluation, both in an early phase contract research organization and in a hospital environment. The results are presently being implemented in the final technical specifications and programming has started.

We expect that the Promasys iPad app will become available for Promasys customers before the summer season of this year.

In February 2012 we launched a new version of our clinical data management and EDC software suite. Promasys 6.2 brings our customers the long-awaited functionality for edit checks and automated batch queries. Build simple and complex edit checks with absolutely NO PROGRAMMING  in the point&click expression editor. Generate queries manually or let Promasys generate queries automatically based on the edit checks.

Further, it is now possible to sign data items electronically in the WebCRF, Promasys' EDC system, so that investigators or authorized co-workers at remote sites won't need to install the Promasys client in order to sign off their data.In addition miscellaneous changes and improvements have been implemented.
